Greetings.
The programme for Tuesday evenings, June, July, August 2016 is presented below.
A while back I played the G & S opera Princess Ida, not realising it was on 4, not 2 sides of an LP. I've been unable to locate sides 3 and 4. If anyone has this LP and would lend it to me, I (and probably my listeners) would be most grateful. We could then bring Princess Ida to a satisfactory conclusion.

During the next 3 months, the basic programme continues; that is at 5.30 the Biggles serial is played; at 6 we have Hancocks Half Hour starring the lad himself; and at 9 we carry on with Geldof in Africa.
Biggles finishes towards the end of August and the 5.30 slot will be used for children's stories and songs.
At around 5.25 I read out the newsletter from Hampden School if there is one to hand. Some weeks there's not. And sometimes around this time, I put in a short story

Note that Bob Geldof, while reading from his book, will use language unbecoming of Oamaru Heritage Radio. I can't do anything about the language, except warn listeners that the reading may contain it.

The 7.30 slot "Concert Piece" will feature:- Paint your Wagon, Scherezade, Cinderella, a Mozart concerto, a Vivaldi concerto, Grieg's symhonic pieces, a stage play by Frank Loesser, popular classical piano tunes for 3 hands, music by Sibelius and Shostakovich, a programme of waltzes, a programme of ballet, show pieces for orchestra and a Haydn symphony. There's something there for everyone.

Remember that anyone may become a presenter on Oamaru Heritage Radio. If you have a love of heritage music or other broadcastable material and want to share you enthusiasm, then get in touch with the station and find out the details of what it takes. Tuition in voice and equipment is given.

Should you notice that the Moeraki transmitter is off the air, then give the station a ring. It can't be picked up in Oamaru, so the Moeraki transmitter is not monitored. OHR's hone number ir 434036two. Please do not ring while I am on air, as being deaf, I am unable to use a telephone. Therefore you call will be unanswered.
