I miss not being able to put across a regular radio show.
Having moved to a new location to live, it's not practical to continue my sessions on Oamaru Heritage Radio.
There are plans afoot for me to get back into broadcasting this type of programme again in the future,but it's going to take some time.
So far, I've spent about 8 weeks unpacking at my new residence, and I don't think I am half way through the task yet.
There's just so many records, tapes and cds. Once I get them out of their boxes and onto the shelving, then I have to re-sort them back into their genres.
There's also an estimated tonne (or more) of 78 rpm records. These will all have to be transcribed into digital format, then sent off to landfill. They are available if anyone wants them, but my guess is that they will all end up in landfill.
I am currently having a computer built for me that should be able to handle an on-air and on-line radio station. I take delivery of this next week. But I'm still a few months away from getting it up and running.
Any options or ideas - I'd like to hear them; trevor of hampdenat gma ildo tcom.
