Update on the previous post

Hi,

Further to the previous post-

For the time being, I am not producing any more radio programmes.

I have notified the Trust that runs Oamaru Heritage Radio to this effect.

It's going to be quite a task organising the articles I’ve taken from a 120 sq

metre house and trying to make them fit into an 80 sq metre house.
When (if) this job is completed I will consider where to next.

I have heard from the Trust that the Moeraki transmitter of OHR is likely to

be turned off due to the extremely low (read ‘non-existant’) listenership. At
a recent public meeting where 55 residents of Hampden/Moeraki of all
ages were present, the question was asked “How many of you have tuned
into Oamaru Heritage Radio from Moeraki?” One person only, responded.
Licence fees cost about $400 a year for this transmitter. That’s a lot of

money for one listener.
The two transmitters (North End and Cape Wanbrow) in Oamaru will

continue to propagate the OHR signal (107 and 88.3 respectively).

Going to the internet address of www.ohr.nz will allow you to listen in,

where-ever in the world you may be. But I won’t be there.

So, farewell dear Listener, until we meet again. And I hope we do.

Any comments or enquiries-- I'd be pleased to hear them.

Happy trails,

Trevor
